Cedar Creek is home to a number of potters, a fabulous gallery and the beautiful glass blowing studio of Lisa Oakley. We are building most of our own equipment - quite a learning experience! As of early 2008 we have been in operation since the fall of 2006 and still going strong. We shut down at the end of June of 2007 and started on additional equipment - a large front loading annealer and a top loading pick-up box.
The studio is owned by partners, Dana Smith, Pringle Teetor, Will Kurylo who met in the fall of 2002 and Stephen Galla, who met the others in 2003. They discovered a shared love of glass blowing and a good working compatibility and decided to join forces to form a studio. During 2004-2005 they got to know Lisa Oakley and the people at Cedar Creek while doing glass blowing demonstrations for Lisa during the Gallery's kiln opening festivals.
